Hydraulic starting system for Ruya offshore project.
Hatraco designed, built and delivered a hydraulic start system with a capacity of 3x 50 liter accumulators sufficient to meet the minimum start duration requirement of 3x5 seconds of a MTU® 4000 driven E-genset. This MTU® 4000 drives a generator meant to provide energy in an emergency situation on one of the oil production platforms in the Al Shaheen field.
The Ruya offshore project is a major oil field development in Qatar, aimed at increasing oil production from the Al Shaheen field to 300,000 barrels per day. It is a multi-phase project led by the North Oil Company (NOC), a joint venture between QatarEnergy and Total.
The project involves building new platforms, subsea pipelines, and cables to maintain and increase the output of the Al Shaheen oilfield.
