Hatraco was awarded the contract for 3x Hydraulic start systems which are going to be used as the secondary startsystem for a fire water pump application. As per NFPA-20 requirements for a secondary start system, the start system provides the minimum of 6 times of 15 seconds of start duration.
The Clarke (JD) driven Fire water pumps are going to be deployed at a Techint project in South America. Sensed by a pressure transmitter and a control panel for standalone operation, the start system is automatically recharged by means of an electric motor recharge pump. All of Hatraco's hydraulic start systems are equipped with a manual operated hydraulic pump as well. This enables our clients even to re-charge the system in a black out situation.
