Qatar’s New LPG Bottling Facility A new liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) bottling plant is under construction in Ras Laffan. The contractor appointed for this state-of-the-art facility is focused on enhancing LPG supply resiliency in Qatar. As a sub-contractor Hatraco has been awarded an order for the delivery of 2x hydraulic start systems to provide backup start energy for Cummins CFP15 driven Fire water pumps.
As per NFPA-20 requirements for a secondary start system, the start system provides the minimum of 6 times of 15 seconds of start duration. By means of pre-set pressure values, the hydraulic start system is automatically recharged by means of an electric motor driven recharge pump. The recharging cycle is managed by pressure transmitters in combination with a local control panel.
