Liquid level measurement with high-quality probes

The measurement of liquid levels, it is possible in many different ways. One of the methods is by means of a circuit in which use is made of a probe which makes contact with an electrically conductive fluid.

The level of the liquid affects the resistance of the circuit. This resistance is to be measured and is related to the height of the liquid level. The used measuring pins or measuring electrodes (liquid level electrodes) come from factories that make spark plugs. The structure of these pins is in fact similar to that of spark plugs: a ceramic electrode holder which conducts well while it is resistant to high pressures, high temperatures and aggressive substances (the medium to be measured).
 

Auburn level probes / Auburn Liquid Level Electrodes

The Auburn liquid level probes are construction wise similar to spark plugs in which a center electrode (the actual sensor pen) can be optionally screwed. These electrode-pens may be selected depending on the desired material and thickness of the pen. The electrode body (shell) is provided with a fine thread in which the pen of a selected length may be screwed.

Auburn liquid level control electrodes are used in systems which are dependent on the electrical conductivity of liquids. These products are suitable for level control of liquids and foods with high moisture content, dairy products and other chemical processes. Other applications include level control in boilers, boilers, storage tanks and sewer drainage systems. The three series of Auburn liquid level control electrodes to meet specific application requirements. The WCT series with Teflon insulation, the WCC series with ceramic insulation, and the WCC KH series Teflon protected ceramics and Kovar center wire. All metal components are made of 303 and 304 stainless steel unless otherwise indicated.
